Physiotherapy Consultation Fees

Active Body Physiotherapy offers HICAPS (the Health Industry Claims and Payment Service) for the convenience of patients with private health cover.
This system allows us to simply swipe your health fund card after your treatment so your health fund transfers your rebate directly to us, meaning all you have to do is pay the gap.

Active Body Kids School Holiday Program

Active Body Kids School Holiday Program is a 2 week program for school children specifically designed to target childhood fitness and activity levels. The program is designed to develop children's co-ordination and cardiovascular endurance in a fun and interactive environment. Our unique, researched based fitness program includes:

  1. An individualised, comprehensive biomechanical and fitness assessment performed by the Active Body Physiotherapy staff at beginning and end of the program to measure children's strengths
  2. 6 exercise sessions of 1.5 hour duration conducted Monday, Wednesday and Friday during both weeks of the school holidays
  3. Program is evidence based and is age specific
  4. Full report provided to parents on child's progress
  5. Certificate given to all at conclusion of program

Children form good active habits early in life and it is important to emphasise physical activity to children which will help them to develop into healthy adults. Research has shown that school based physical activity has been effective in weight control as well as teaching skill, teamwork and increasing self esteem.

The objective of our research-based program is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for the education of physical development.

The cost of the program is $88 (incl GST) per child and a limit of 15 per session. Bookings Essential.


Core Stability

Core stability is the stability of our lumbo-pelvic-hip complex i.e. where our centre of gravity is located and where all movement begins. If the extremity muscles are strong but the core is weak then there will not be enough force created to produce efficient movements. The core muscles are an integral component of the protective mechanism that relieves the spine of harmful forces inherent during functional activities.

Two of the most important stabilising muscles in our body have been shown to have a decreased activation in people with lower back pain. These core muscles do not have a spontaneous recovery and need to be strengthened to increase core stability and/or to help reduce lower back pain.


Active Ball

Active Ball is a low impact exercise on the Active Ball (swiss ball). Designed to develop and increase your core stability. Using light hand weights to develop strength and tone with some gentle cardiovascular conditioning. Suitable for all fitness levels.


Grand Prix Circuit

With a series of timed stations, designed to develop strength, power, agility and endurance with participants working to their own capacity. This class is ideal for fitness levels of all types from beginners to advanced.


Personal Training

1 hour - at Active Body ($55), or in the comfort of your own home ($85)

Training sessions normally cost $55 or $85, however, as a special introductory price, we are offering you $10 off your first session. Simply print out the linked discount coupon and bring it to your first session to receive this discount.

To receive further discounts, why not grab a few friends and train together? Groups of up to 5 can train together in the one session and pay only $30 each, almost half the individual cost.

Active Body is also introducing a �refer a friend� scheme on individual training sessions. Simply by recommending your friend to the personal training sector, you will receive 1 training session absolutely free. Just have them let us know that you referred them to us when your friend arrives for their first visit.
